EXTRA SECURITY, April 15, 2012 By  JOBLESSNUSA - See all my reviews This review is from: Jagwire Basics Galvanized Tandem Brake Cable, 1.6 x 110" Shimano (Misc.) Honestly I am writing this review about other galvanized cable I have used. They should all be the same. I use this material to make cut proof cables for my camera and other items to foil the pick pockets in Europe. Yes, Virginia they WILL cut straps! I first cut it to the length I need then fashion it so that it will fit it's application. Loop the first inch or so through a short length of 1/4 inch copper tube. Crimp the copper tube to hold everything in place. Use a propane torch and silver solder to unify everything. This is the reason for using galvanized. It solders. Et Voila! Your camera is now safer as is your Pass Port bag! I also carry a cane and a shrill whistle! That too will stop them. Never ever turn your back to a crowd nor allow a "swarm" of pretty girls near you in ANY European city! I love to out smart the bastards...
